Red Dead Redemption 2 is the sequel to the popular Red Dead Redemption and is being created and developed by Rockstar Games. The game was released on October 26th, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Plot[]
The game is set to serve as a prequel of the events in Red Dead Redemption. The game features the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive
Development[]
On October 18th, 2016, Rockstar formally announced Red Dead Redemption II. The first trailer was released on October 20th, 2016, showing the setting and the graphic quality of the title. In the two days prior the announcement, the company changed all of their social media and Newswire images to two red and black Rockstar logos, making the public and the press believing in a sequel of the game. After the announce of the presence of the game only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a petition has been opened from fans to ask Rockstar for the game release on PC.
On September 28th, 2017, Rockstar released the second trailer, revealing Arthur Morgan as the game's protagonist and showing various sequences that shows the variety and the magnitude of the game environment and what inhabit in it.
Sony has partnered with Rockstar Games to get online content on PlayStation 4 before the Xbox One.
The postponement of the game launch was formalized through the social profiles of Rockstar on May 22, 2017, thus modifying the expected release date from Autumn 2017 to Spring 2018. The launch was postponed again on February 1st 2018, the date on which Rockstar announced that the release is scheduled for October 26, 2018.
